Reading books as a pastime has never come easy for me. I have come to learn that when I was in high school I would associate reading books with school / homework / studying / tests in which all equaled to a lot of anxiety for me. I had stopped reading books as a leisure activity completely after those years of schooling. I filled the gaps with hobbies like playing guitar, video games, and working out etc. As of the last few years I have delved back into the world of reading books and the benefits are amazing. Reading requires a great amount stillness and patience, which is what I need(ed) the most work on.
Bellow is a list of wonderful reads that I have found most beneficial to my growth as a human over the years. This is not a complete list of the books I have on my shelf, but ones I believe most people would enjoy.
